How to Measure Your Dog

Follow these simple steps using a soft measuring tape. Always measure while your dog is standing naturally.

Neck: Wrap the tape around the base of the neck where a collar would sit. Leave room for two fingers to ensure comfort.
Lower Neck: Measure slightly below the collar line, closer to the shoulders. This helps with apparel and harness fit.
Chest Girth: Measure the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs. This is key for apparel sizing.
Back Length: Measure from the base of the neck (where it meets the shoulders) to the base of the tail. Keep the tape straight along the spine.
Withers Height: Measure from the ground to the top of the shoulder (withers). This helps assess overall garment coverage.
Paw Width: Place the paw flat on the ground and measure across the widest part. Useful for booties or paw-specific accessories.
Paw Length: Measure from the tip of the longest toe to the back of the paw pad. Helps ensure a snug but comfortable fit.

Tip: Always allow two fingers of space when measuring for comfort.

Choosing the Ideal Feeding Height for Your Pet

Measure from the floor to your dog’s lower chest to help choose a comfortable stand height.
If your dog falls between two sizes, we recommend choosing the lower height for a more natural feeding position.
The bowl should feel easy to reach without requiring your dog to stretch upward or adopt an awkward posture.

1. Gently place over the head
Stretch the HushHug open and carefully slide it over your dog’s head.

2. Position over the ears
Make sure both ears are comfortably covered and lying naturally beneath the fabric.

3. Adjust the fit
Position the wrap so it feels snug and secure without being tight. Keep the nose, mouth, and eyes completely uncovered.

4. Use during stressful or noisy moments
Keep HushHug in place during grooming, blow-drying, thunderstorms, fireworks, travel, or other situations where your dog may benefit from extra comfort.

5. Remove after use
Once the situation has passed, gently slide the wrap off and check your dog’s ears and skin before storing it away.

For supervised use only. Do not leave your dog unattended while wearing HushHug.

Ensure the wrap fits securely but comfortably. It should never restrict breathing, movement, or feel excessively tight around the head or neck.

HushHug reduces the intensity of sound but is not hearing protection and does not completely block noise.

Remove immediately if your dog shows signs of discomfort, overheating, distress, or repeatedly tries to remove the wrap.

Do not cover your dog’s nose or mouth. Position the wrap around the ears and head only.

After use around water, allow the wrap to dry completely before storing.

Inspect regularly for stretching, tears, or damage and discontinue use if the product becomes compromised.
