Choosing the Ideal Pawtectors™ Size for Your Pet

• Paw Width: Place the paw flat on the ground and measure across the widest part. 

• Paw Length: Measure from the tip of the longest toe to the back of the paw pad.

Step 1: Prep the Paws
- Ensure your dog’s paw pads are clean, dry, and free of dirt or oils.
- Trim excess fur around and between the paw pads so the adhesive sticks directly to the pad skin.

Step 2: Align & Apply
- Peel off the backing paper from the protector pad.
- Carefully align the broad part of the pad over the main center paw pad, with the smaller top sections lining up over the toe pads.
- Gently press and hold down for 5–10 seconds to activate the adhesive.

Step 3: Easy Removal
- Gentle Peel: Slowly pull from one edge back across the paw pad.
- For Sensitive Paws: Dip or soak your dog's paws in warm water for 30–60 seconds to loosen the adhesive before sliding the pad off effortlessly.

Q: How long can my dog wear the Pawtectors at a time?
A: We recommend using them during walks, outdoor excursions, or active play sessions (around 1 to 4 hours). Because dogs sweat through their paw pads, removing them after activity lets their paws breathe and dry out naturally.

Q: Will my dog try to chew or kick them off?
A: Most dogs adapt almost instantly! Unlike bulky rubber boots or heavy shoes, these adhesive pads are ultra-thin and lightweight, allowing your dog's paws to expand naturally so they barely notice they're wearing them.

Q: Are these reusable?
A: No, these are single-use adhesive pads designed to provide a secure hold during a walk and peel off cleanly afterward. Reusing them will significantly reduce the adhesive strength.

Q: Do they help senior dogs from slipping indoors?
A: Yes! The anti-slip traction grid provides extra grip on slick surfaces like hardwood, tile, and laminate, giving senior dogs or pets with joint stiffness the confidence to stand and walk without slipping.

Q: What if my dog has long fur between their paw pads?
A: For the strongest hold, trim any excess hair around and between the paw pads before applying. Direct skin-to-adhesive contact is key to keeping the pad in place.

Q: How do I remove them if they stick too tightly?
A: Simply wet your dog’s paws with warm water or dab a little coconut oil around the edges. Let it sit for 30-60 seconds, and the adhesive will loosen up for effortless removal.

- Do not leave Pawtectors™ on for extended periods if the paw is wet, as moisture buildup may lead to irritation or infection.

- Always ensure the paw is clean and dry before application.

- Monitor your dog during use, especially on long walks.

- Remove immediately if your dog shows signs of discomfort.

- While these pads significantly reduce heat transfer, always test asphalt with the back of your hand for 7 seconds before walking. If it’s too hot for your hand, minimize total walk duration even with paw protectors.

- Single-Use Design for short-term wear (walks or active outdoor sessions). Remove after 2–4 hours or after completing your activity to allow the paw pads to breathe naturally.

- Do not apply over cut, inflamed, irritated, or infected paw pads.

- Supervise your dog during initial use to ensure they do not attempt to chew or ingest the pads.
